Richard Sandlin

I'm a regular faculty member in the Department of Philosophy and Humanities at Douglas College. I was previously an instructor at Corpus Christi College.

I earned my BA from UC-Berkeley, MA from Brandeis and PHD from UBC.

I regularly teach courses in critical thinking, applied ethics (especially environmental, business and sports), metaphysics and philosophy of mind. I also teach courses in aesthetics and epistemology.

I am especially interested in the relationship between objective description and subjective experience. I think most about perception, consciousness, colour, beauty, agency, God, the environment and philosophical method.
